Jaundice – Natural Home Remedy



Jaundice is the yellow discoloration of the skin and the whites of the eyes. It is caused by a build-up of a substance called Bilirubin.In many cases, yellowness in the white part of the eyes is more obvious than in the skin.
There are three types of jaundice that affects adults are:
* Hemolytic jaundice.
* Hepatocellular jaundice
* Obstructive jaundice

CAUSES OF JAUNDICE :
* anemia and more precisely hemolytic anemia.
* blockage of bile ducts due to certain reasons.
* hepatitis condition.
* cancer of pancreas.
* liver disorders caused by increased alcohol consumption.

SYMPTOMS OF JAUNDICE :
The symptoms of jaundice are severe constipation, fever, nausea, pain in the liver region and yellow colour of the eyes, tongue, skin and urine.

HOME REMEDIES FOR JAUNDICE
1. 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder mixed in a glass of hot water taken 2-3 times a day.
2. Make a paste of tender papaya leaves. Take 1/2 tsp of this paste with 1 tsp honey.
3. Boil 1 cup of water, when it boils add 8-10 lemon leaves. Cover and leave for 4-5 minutes. Drink the decoction for 4-5 days.
4. Lots of lime juice should be consumed.
5. 1/2 tsp ginger juice, 1 tsp mint juice and 1tsp lime juice to be taken as often as possible.
6. 1 cup of juice made with radish leaves taken 2 times a day.
7. First thing in the morning, drink 1 glass of fresh Tomato juice. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to this.
8. The juice of bitter luffa is also good home remedy for jaundice.
9. An infusion is made out of snake gourd leaves by mixing 15 gm of dry leaves in 250 ml of water and then boiling it. Take this at a time for once in a day.
10. Coriander seeds are put in ½ liter of water and then boil till it becomes one third. Take this decoction in the dosage of 30-50 ml thrice a day.
11. Take one cup of barely boiled in three liters of water. It is cooled and then taken. Take this water several times a day.
12. Consume minerals like iron and calcium during the attack of jaundice.
13. Consume mashed banana wit a table spoon of honey is very good remedy for liver disorders.
14. Buttermilk should be continuously consumed for seven days with a pinch or black pepper helps in rejuvenating liver.
15. Beet root juice with lemon juice is highly effective in treating jaundice.
16. Carrot juice is also recommended in liver ailments.
17. Consume prune fruit as it helps in preventing jaundice.
18. A mixture of almonds (badam), dried dates (chhuhara) and cardamom (chotti ilachi) is regarded as an effective remedy for jaundice.
19. Take an Indian drug Amlaki or Indian gooseberry in any form.
20. One glass of sugarcane juice, mixed with the juice of half a lime, and taken twice daily, can hasten recovery from jaundice.

DIETARY CONSIDERATIONS :
On the initial stages of jaundice, a person is to be kept on juice diet. The juices could be of fruits and vegetables. This will give rest to the intestines and so the liver. Any organ in human body recovers faster from illness if they are given rest.
After the juice diet, one can go for very light diet. the diet with light carbohydrates and exclusion of fats is good to have in case of jaundice.
Oily, fast food, junk food, canned food, packaged food and food that is heavy to digest must be avoided.Stimulating beverages like coffee, tea and alcohol are strictly contraindicated. One should also stop smoking.

Corns : Natural Home Remedy

A corn refers to a localized thickening of the skin, especially on the toes, and extending into subcutaneous tissue.Corns are toughened skin patches formed in the shape of a cone, with the tip pointing into the foot. Hard corns are formed on the top of the toes or on the outsides of the little toes whereas soft corns are formed between the toes. When pressure is put on the corn, the tip touches the foot tissue, causing immense pain.

CAUSES :
- Wearing tight shoes, ill fitting socks, inflexible or nonporous shoes, high-heeled shoes.
- Diabetics are prone to get corns and they should never ignore foot problems.
- People with flat feet, erosion of skin on the foot sole and walking on hard surfaces without proper protection also cause corns.

HOME REMEDIES FOR CORNS :
- Apply raw Papaya juice to the corn 2-3 times a day.
- Chalk, powdered and made into a paste by adding water, is very when applied on a corn at bedtime.
- Liquorices powdered and mixed with either Mustard or Gingili oil to make a paste. This should be applied 2-3 times a day.
- A fresh slice of lemon should be tied over the painful area at night and allowed to remain there the whole night.
- The herb Indian squill, botanically known as Urginea indica, is useful in removing corns. A bulb may be roasted and applied over the corn. It should he secured with a bandage. This application may be made at night and removed in the morning.
- The milky juice of green figs is valuable for corns of long duration. It helps to soften them.
- Soak your feet in a solution of Epsom salts and warm water.
- Soak your feet in very diluted chamomile tea.
- Crush five or six aspirin tablets into a powder. Prepare a paste with a half-teaspoon each of water and lemon juice. Apply this to the hard-skin spots on your foot, then put your foot into a plastic bag and wrap a warm towel. Sit still for at least 10 minutes. Then unwrap your foot and scrub the area with a pumice stone. All that dead, hard, callused skin should come loose and flake away easily.
- Dip a fresh cloth in rectified turpentine and wrap it around the area. Apply this several times a day.
- Dip a cotton ball with vinegar. Keep this until the area becomes soft. Once it is soft, rub it with a pumice stone.
- Try to get right-fitting shoes as much as possible. A better-fitting pair of shoes can be your solution to this problem.
- Do not cut off these corns as they will simply cause infection or may result in bleeding.
- Apply castor oil on the corn. This is an effective treatment for corn and calluses.
- Parsley is another great home remedy food that is often left uneaten on the side of the plate. Besides being rich in potassium and vitamins it is also reputed to strengthen the kidneys and help with waste removal.

DIETARY CONSIDERATIONS :
A light nutritious diet containing vitamins and minerals in the form of fruits and vegetables is recommended.

Sexual Impotence : Natural Home Remedy

Sexual activity is a basic instinct in humans and forms one of the most important aspects of their life. However, there are many people who suffer from sexual dysfunctions. The most commonly found sexual dysfunction in men is impotency. It is a condition in which a person suffers from low sex drive and low erectile functions.
Impotence takes three forms. There is primary impotence, when the man’s erectile dysfunction is there from the very beginning  of sexual activity and he simply cannot have an erection. Secondary impotence is the commonest and this implies that the man ca normally attain an erection but fails on one or more occasions between normal activity. The third form is associated with advancing age.

SEXUAL IMPOTENCE CAUSES :
- Psychological illness such as depression, alcohol abuse, diabetes etc.
- Devitalised condition of the system.

HOME REMEDIES FOR SEXUAL IMPOTENCE :
- Garlic is one of the most remarkable home remedies found beneficial in the treatment of sexual impotence. The garlic is known for its exceptional healing aphrodisiac properties. Daily consumption of 2-3 cloves of raw garlic assists in early recovery of overindulgence and nervous exhaustion.
- The inclusion of onion in the major meals of day enhances libido and provides strength to the reproductive organs. The most useful variety for the purpose is white onion.
- Finely chop about 150 grams of carrots. Consume this, along with a half-boiled egg, dipped in a tablespoon of honey, once everyday. This will help increase sexual stamina.
- The 5-10 gm root powder of Lady Finger and 2 tbsp of candy sugar mixed in a glass of milk should be consumed daily for a minimum of 1 time during a day to prevent loss of sexual vigor.
- Put 15 gm dried roots of asparagus in a glass of milk. Have this milk two times in a day.
- Add the powder and two teaspoons of mishri to one glass of milk and drink. This acts like a sex tonic.
- A soup of 10-15 gm drumstick flowers boiled in 250 ml milk is one of the widely used home remedies for the treatment of sexual impotence.
- Ginger juice is beneficial in treating sexual impotence. Mix ½ tsp ginger juice with half boiled egg and honey. Have this mixture once every night. It is beneficial in curing impotency, premature ejaculation & spermatorrhoea.
- Mix jambul fruit (Indian herb) with milk and add a little honey to it. Consume this mixture to treat impotence.
- Finely powdered dried dates blended with almonds, pistachio nuts and quince seeds in equivalent quantities can be consumed daily to enhance sexual power.
- Boil black raisins with a glass of milk in lukewarm water. Once cooled these raisins should be consumed with a glass of hot milk for at least three times during a day for best results.
- For female sterility, dry the roots of banyan tree and powder them into fine particles. Take about 20 gm of this powder with milk, in a ratio of 1:5. Have this for 3 consecutive nights after the menstrual cycle.
- Powder winter cherry herb. Consume 6 grams of this powder, with a cup of milk, for 5 to 6 days after menstruation.
- Reduce weight as obesity can cause sexual impotence.

DIETARY & OTHER CONSIDERATIONS :
- Fresh-fruit diet.
- Well-balanced diet.
- Avoid smoking, processed, canned, and denatured food.
- Massage all over the body.
- Cold hip bath.
- Fresh air, outdoor exercises and yogasanas such as dhanurasana, sarvangasana, and halasana are also highly beneficial.
