• Hormonal changes within the body.

General Home Remedies for Dark Skin

1. Apple
• Do not discard the apple skin.
• Use it as a skin cleanser.
• Just rub the inner side of the peel in an upward direction.
• Let the face dry.
• Wash with cool water and pat dry.
• This helps tighten your skin.

2. Ice cube
• Take an ice cube and rub on your face.
• Pat dry.
• This helps to improve blood circulation.
• It also keeps your skin healthy.

3. Lemon grass
• Boil some lemon grass in a small container of water.
• Cool it.
• Pour it in the ice tray and freeze.
• Rub the ice cube on your face.

4. Egg
• Beat the white of one egg.
• Apply on your face in an upward direction.
• Once it dries, wash with cold water.

5. Wheat flour
• Make a paste of 2 tbsp of wheat flour adding adequate water.

• Soak two to three teaspoons of methi (fenugreek) seeds overnight.
• Grind into a paste.
• Rub it on the face.

• The excess paste can be stored in the refrigerator.
• It should be used within a week.

8. Whole Red Gram
• Soak two to three teaspoons of whole red gram overnight.
• Grind into a paste.
• Apply it on your face.
• Let it dry.
• Wash the face with cold water.
• Pat dry.
• It gives the same effect as Fenugreek.
• The excess paste can be stored in the refrigerator.
• It should be used within two days.

9. Cucumber
• Grind half a cucumber and squeeze to extract the juice.
• Apply the juice on your face.
• Leave to dry.
• Wash with water and pat dry.
• It helps refresh and lighten your skin.

10. Ripe banana
• Mash half a ripe banana and add a teaspoon of honey to make a paste.
• Apply on the face.
• Let it dry.
• Wash with cold water and pat dry.
• This acts as a moisturizer.

11. Poppy seeds
• Soak poppy seeds overnight.
• Grind it with enough milk to make a paste.
