What is meant by dry skin?
• Dry skin or Dry epidermis means the scenario when less oil is created by the skin oil glands.
• It is the issue during winter seasons when moisture is less.
• The areas most impacted are the hip and legs, lower hands, torso, and factors of belly, cheekbones and the area around the face.
• It causes scaliness and breaks on the epidermis in serious cases.
• It is the common scenario that impacts almost every one.

Causes of Dry Skin
The various causes of dry skin are:
- Environmental aspects like
• Less moisture
• Cold
• Use of unwanted make-up
• Use of severe shower gel
• Air smog
- Nutrient inadequacies: Lack of vitamin E, A and B cause dry epidermis.
- Skin problems like dermatitis and skin psoriasis.
- Less supply of oil by the skin oil glands to the epidermis.

Home Remedies for Dry Skin

5. Grapes
• Mash half a grape and mix it with a few declines of fresh calcium juice and spread over the cleansed epidermis.
• Let it stay it for 15 to 20 moments.
• Wash the skin alternately.

6. Grapeseed oil
• Massaging the epidermis with grapeseed oil which is the best and efficient cure for dry epidermis.
• Castor oil or grape oil is highly beneficial in curing dry skin.

7. Petroleum Jelly
• Apply petroleum jelly on the dry skin.
• This will help skin to remain smooth.
• Apply it especially before going to bed.

8. Rose petals
• Take a few rose petals and soak them in raw milk for a few hours.
• Make a paste and apply it.
• This would heal the dryness.
• It works effectively in retaining the lost pink color.

9. Milk Cream
• Apply milk cream on the skin.
• This will help remove the dry dead skin.

10. Vitamin A
• Loss of vitamin A is the cause for dry skin.
• Increase the intake of foods rich in vitamin A such as carrots, green leafy vegetables and tomatoes, legumes, whole grains and nutritional yeast.

11. Castor oil
• Apply castor oil on the lips.
• This will help to cure the dry skin.

12. Sun Screen
• Apply sun screen or moisturizer.
• This would help prevent dry patches.
• It will also heal the dryness.

13. Moisturizer based lipstick
• Apply moisturizer-based lipstick on the lips.
• Do not put on excessive lipstick and allow the lips to breathe.

14. Egg yolk
• Prepare an excellent blend by including 1 egg yolk, 1 tsp. of orange juice, 1 tsp. of essential olive oil, few drops of water and some drops of calcium juice.
• Utilize this well ready blend in the morning 15 minutes before taking shower.
• This is very useful house cure for dry epidermis.

15. Coconut oil
• This is very effective in treating dry skin.
• Apply small amount of oil on many times daily.

Diet for Dry Skin

1. Vitamin A rich diet
• Vitamin A is very important for the growth and repair of the skin.
• The diet should provide one with sufficient quantity of vitamin A.
• Carrots, tomatoes and green leafy vegetables are the best sources of vitamin A.

2. Other Dietary measures
• Eat whole grains, legumes and nutritional yeast.
- Make a vitamin rich juice by adding
• 1 tbsp. Of watercress
• Carrot and spinach juice
• 2 tbsp. Wheat germ oil
• One glass of tomato juice
• 1 tbsp. of nutritional yeast

What are different home remedies for Bone Spur?

WHAT IS BONE SPUR?
• A bone spur is actually a calcium growth that develops like a deposit on the bone
• This is the reason for building up to create pressure on the surrounding tissue and skin.
• Bone spurs in themselves would not be painful but because of its effects on surrounding tissue, muscle and ligaments.
• Bone spurs often develop on the bones in the feet and are called heel spurs.
• Bone spurs can however develop on any bone in the body.
• It generally indicates some sort of bone degeneration

These are common in:
• overweight individuals
• pregnant women
• athletes whose heels are subjected to high stress from jumping or running

Bone spurs occur mostly along:
• Joints

HOME REMEDIES FOR BONE SPUR

1. Remedy for Inflammation
• To reduce inflammation apply an ice pack 4 to 5 times in a day.
• Apply heating pad on the inflamed area will also help to reduce inflammation.

2. Use Curcumin and Flaxseed
• Curcumin which is the yellow pigment of turmeric is effective in treating bone spur.
• Take 500 to 1000 mg of curcumin 3 to 4 times a day on an empty stomach.
• Take this daily for about 6 weeks.
• Apply flaxseed hot pack to the affected area to remove the pain.
• Take alternate hot and cold foot baths.

3. Use Cheese Cloth
• Dip a piece of cheese cloth in warm linseed oil and place the cloth on the affected area.
• Cover the cloth with plastic and place a heating pad on the plastic for 2 hours.

4. Take Rest
• Strenuous activity aggravates the pain.
• It is advisable to take rest to ease the pain.
• Avoid wearing flat shoes.

5. Use Apple Cider Vinegar
• One can apply a bandage that is soaked in apple cider vinegar on the affected part.
• Do this for about 4-5 days to get some relief.

6. Orthopedic molds
One can get orthopedic molds of their choice and apply.

7. Borax solution
• Borax solution is one of the most efficient home remedies for treatment of body spurs.
• Soak your feet in the solution of borax and the difference can be seen within a week.

8. Chlorinated water
Application of chlorinated water has a healing effect on pain due to bone spurs.

9. Molasses
• Make a mixture of molasses with apple cider vinegar and baking soda.
• Apply this mixture on the affected part.

10. Cabbage leaves
• Wrap the fresh leaves of the cabbage around the affected part.
• This is another remedy for bone spurs.

11. Coconut oil
Massage the affected part with coconut oil.

12. Alfalfa tea
Take alfalfa tea as this is another effective home remedy for bone spur.
