CONSTIPATION
Constipation is a common disturbance of the digestive tract. In this condition, the bowels do not move regularly, or are not well emptied when they move.
CAUSES & SYMPTOMS
Infrequency, irregularity or difficulty in elimination of hard faecal matter, coated tongue, foul breadth, loss of appetite, headache, dizziness, dark circles, depression, nausea, pimples, ulcers, constant fullness in the abdomen, diarrhoea alternating with constipation, pain in lumbar region, acidity are some symptoms of constipation.
Important causes of constipation are faulty diet and style of living. Intake of refined and rich foods lacking in vitamins and minerals, insufficient intake of water,meat consumption in large amounts, excessive use of tea or coffee.
REMEDIES
1.Bael Fruit: Bael is considered to be very laxative.It cleans and tones up intestines. Regular use of bael for 2-3 months throws out even the old accumlated faecal matter. It should be taken before dinner. 60gms is sufficient for adults.
2.Pear:A medium sized pear taken after dinner or with breakfast will give desired effect.
3.Guava: When taken with seeds, it provides roughage to diet & helps in normal evacuation of the bowels.
4.Orange:Taking 1-2 oranges at bedtime & again on rising in morning is an excellent way of stimulating bowels.
5.Papaya: Half a medium sized papaya should be taken at breakfast act as laxative.
6.Spinach: Raw spinach contains the finest organic material for the cleansing, reconstruction and regenration of the intestinal tract.
7.Half a lime in glass of water + 1/2 tsp of salt. Drinking water kept in copper vessel overnight first thing in morning brings good results.
DIETARY CONSIDERATIONS
Consumption of cereals, bran, honey, lentils, green & leafy vegetables, fresh fruits and milk products. Food should be properly chewed. Sugar and sugary food should be avoided.Fresh air, walking, swimming and exercise plays an important role in strengthening the muscles, and thereby preventing constipation.

DANDRUFF – HOME REMEDY
DANDRUFF
Dandruff, also called scurf, is the common skin problem that people face daily. It is normal for skin cells to die and flake off, it is nothing but flakes, but when the flaking starts to become intensive there might be a problem that should be solved. There are two types of dandruffs: dry dandruffs, which make the skin itchy, and the oily dandruffs which makes the hair sticky and sometimes smells. The cause for dandruff can be dry weather, hair chemicals, nutrition and more.
Home Remedy For Dandruff
• Apply paste of one teaspoon of lemon juice and garlic on hair.
• Soak two tbsp of fenugreek seeds(methi) overnight and ground to paste in morning. Apply the paste and leave for an hour. The hair should be washed with ritha-shikakai.
• Rub scalp with curd which has been kept open for 3 days.
• Mix 2 tbsp of vinegar and 6 tbsp of hot water. Apply on scalp and keep it overnight and wash in the morning.
• Apply beetroot juice with vinegar on scalp.
• Massage your scalp with olive and almond oil, leave for 5 min till you feel burning sensation and then wash it.
• Tea tree oil is an essential oil that comes from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia, a plant native to Australia. It has been used for centuries as an antiseptic and anti-fungal agent.
• Mix 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar with 1/4 cup water. Apply on hair and wrap a towel. After 15 minutes to an hour, remove the towel and wash your hair. This is generally done once to twice a week.
• Rinse hair after soaking some neem in water and then filtering.
• Crush one aspirin and mix it in shampoo and then use.
• All fruit diet for 5 days shoul be taken. Citrus fruits, bananas, tinned fruits, meat, sugar, white flour, strong tea/coffee, pickles, processed food should be avoided.
