Power Naps – Energy Boosters and Reduces Stress



Hectic day and a hectic schedule…catching a quick nap in between them increases your productivity overall and especially at work. Power nap does not last long but it invigorates and stimulates our body and spirit, cutting pleasantly the day to two. So when we wake up from power napping, our memory is clean and our mind is refreshed. A power nap is defined as a short nap during the day of about 20-30 minutes duration.

Facts about Power Nap

- Ideal time : Between 2.00 pm and 4.00 pm, just after lunch.
- To wake up from your power nap, put some water on your face, drink a glass of water and go out in the fresh air for a while.
- Play some soft music.
- Include power nap in your schedule.
- Do not consume large amounts of coffee or caffeine before power naps.
- Maintain an optimum temperature according to weather.
- Try to free up your mind from any thoughts.
- Make sure that your sleep is without any disruptions. Switch off your mobile.

Some people are lucky enough to be able to fall asleep anywhere, anytime. If, after several attempts, you are not able to pull it off, try a quick meditation break instead. It’s not sleeping, but it sure is a great way to restart your afternoon.
