What is meant by Itching?

• Itching is medically known as pruritus.
• This is caused by stimuli bugging some part of our skin.
• An itch can start from a mild nuisance to a disrupting, damaging, and sleep-depriving fiasco.
• This can due to a fungal infection.

Symptoms of Itching

• allergic reactions
• sunburns
• insect bites
• poison ivy
• reactions to chemicals
• soap, and detergents allergy
• medication
• dry weather
• skin infections
• aging

Home Remedies for Itching

1. Baking soda
• Baking soda battles itches of all kinds.

2. Yogurt
• One of the greatest of all fungus-fighting foods is yogurt that contains live acidophilus.
• Acidophilus helps control vaginal and oral yeast.

3. Cinnamon
• A good soak in a cinnamon tea foot bath will help slow down the fungus.
• Boil 8 to 10 broken cinnamon sticks in 4 cups water, and then simmer for five minutes.
• Let steep for another 45 minutes.
• Soak your feet for 15 to 30 minutes.
• Repeat daily, as needed.

4. Raw garlic
• It is believed to have antifungal and antibacterial properties.
• Garlic is excellent in curing fungal infections.
• Apply some garlic extract or garlic puree on to the affected area to get rid of the fungus faster.

5. Tea Tree Oil
• Tea tree oil is quite effective in treating yeast infections, athlete’s foot and ringworm.
• Dilute a few drops of tea tree oil in water and apply it on to the affected area.

6. White Vinegar
• Soak your hands and feet in a tub of white vinegar, to cure nail fungus or an athlete’s foot.
• This remedy disrupts the pH balance of the skin.
• It curbs the growth of fungi on the skin.

7. Lemon
• This remedy will help you in the sweaty foot-odor removal.
• Squeeze the juice from a lemon and mix it with 2 ounces water.
• Rinse your feet with the lemon water.

8. Tea
• The tannic acid in tea is soothing.
• It helps to kill the fungus.
• Make a foot soak by putting 6 black tea bags in 1 quart warm water.

9. Salt
• Soak your infected area in warm salt water, using 1 teaspoon salt for each cup of water, for 10 minutes.
• Dry the area thoroughly, and then dab some baking soda between your toes.

10. Corn starch
• Corn starch is effective in soaking moisture.
• Keep your toe fingers dry by sprinkling some corn starch on them.

Other Home remedies for fungal itching

• Apply an antifungal soap, powder, cream or ointment, to speed up the healing process.
• Apply some clove powder or clove oil directly on to the skin that is affected.
• Drink as much water to flush out toxins and fight fungal infections to its best.
• Dilute vinegar soaks or sprays (roughly one part white household vinegar to four parts water) are very effective in treating fungal infections.
• Dilute Clorox baths or soaks (approximately ¼ cup household Clorox bleach in one bathtub of water) is also helpful in removing fungal infections.
• For immediate relief from itching or burning, soak your feet in an antiseptic mouthwash like Listerine.

What is meant by Jaundice?

• Jaundice is the most common of all liver disorders.
• It is a condition in which yellow discoloration of the skin and mucous membranes occur.
• This yellow color is due to an increase in the bile pigments, namely, bilirubin in the blood.

Jaundice Symptoms

• Extreme weakness
• Headache
• Fever
• Loss of appetite
• Severe constipation
• Nausea
• Yellow discoloration of the eyes, tongue, skin, and urine.
• Dull pain in the liver region

Jaundice Causes

• Obstruction of the bile ducts
• Haemolytic anaemia
• Typhoid
• Malaria
• Yellow fever
• Tuberculosis

More Home Remedies for Jaundice

Jaundice treatment using Barley Water
• Barley water should be drunk several times during the day.
• This is another good remedy for this disease.
• One cup of barley should be boiled in three liters of water and simmered for three hours.

Jaundice treatment using Snake Gourd Leaves
• The leaves of snake gourd have been found useful in jaundice.
• An infusion of the leaves should be prepared by mixing 15 gm of dry leaves in 250 ml of boiling water.
• A decoction of coriander seeds in 500 ml of water till it is reduced by one-third.
• This infusion should be given in doses of 30 to 60 ml, mixed with the decoction of coriander seeds.
• This should be taken thrice daily.

Jaundice Treatment using Papaya Seeds
• The black seeds of papaya have been found beneficial in the treatment of cirrhosis of the liver.
• Papaya helps in cirrhosis associated with alcoholism and malnutrition.
• A tablespoon of juice obtained by grinding the seeds, mixed with ten drops of fresh lime juice, should be given once or twice daily.
• Do this for about a month as a medicine for this disease.

Jaundice Treatment using Trailing Eclipta
• The herb trailing eclipta which is botanically known as eclipta Alba has proved invaluable in cirrhosis.
• The juice of all parts of this plant should be taken in doses of one teaspoon that is mixed with one teaspoon of honey.
• Take it three times daily.
• This helps in the detoxification process.
• This will help in providing relief and treating Jaundice.

Jaundice treatment using Picrorhiza
• Picrorhiza which is botanically known as picrorhiza kurroa, is a drug of choice in ayurveda for this condition among adults.
• The root of the herb is given in powdered form.
• A tablespoon of the powder is mixed with an equal quantity of honey.
• It should be administered three times a day.
• If the patient has constipation too then the dose should be increased to double.
• It should be given with a cup of warm water, three to four times a day.
• It stimulates the liver to produce more bile.
• The excretion of this relieves congestion of the liver and the tissues.
• Jaundice involves blocking of the liver because of high toxicity levels.
• Consuming picrorhiza kurroa is an effective method of clearing up any blockages in the liver.
• It also reduces any swelling that the patient may be experience.

Jaundice treatment using Fig
• Wash 3-4 leaves of sacred fig (Ficus religiosa).
• Mash them with sugar candy and mix it in 250 mg of water.
• Drink it twice a day after sieving the mixture.
• This will help in treating Jaundice.

Jaundice treatment using Jaundice Berry
• The herb jaundice berry which is botanically known as Berberis vultaris is very useful in jaundice.
• The pulverized bark should be given several times a day in doses of one-fourth of a teaspoon.
• The fluid extract should be given 2-4 ml doses.
• This will help in treating or relieving from Jaundice.

Moderate exercise and fresh air baths
• Exercise daily for best results.
