What is a Peeling Skin?

• Peeling skin is a temporary problem and is known to heal in a few days as the new skin surfaces.

8. Chamomile tea

• Take a cup of boiling water and steep 2-3 tsp fresh or dried chamomile flowers in it.
• Strain the decoction and cool it down.

9. Olive oil
• It is said to have therapeutic qualities.
• Apply olive oil to the affected area.
• It would penetrate the skin and cure the rash.

10. Aloe Vera
• Apply Aloe vera gel or pulp on the affected region.
• This would be very helpful in treating the body rash.

11. Baking soda
• Apply baking soda on the affected body part.
• After applying it, press the area gently.
• It would provide relief from the irritation.
• It will also cure the rash.

12. Yellow dock root, chaparral and dandelion
• A poultice made from yellow dock root, chaparral and dandelion would be effective in treatment.
• Take a handful of herb and blend in the mixer, with water, to form a puree.
• Apply on the affected area and cover with cheesecloth or bandage.

13. Calcium water
• Take a piece of cotton cloth and dip it in calcium water or comfrey.
• Place this cloth on the affected area.
• It would be soothing and also help reduce inflammation.

14. Basil leaves
• Blend 10-15 basil leaves with 1 tbsp olive oil, 2 garlic cloves, salt and pepper.
• Apply a coat of this mixture on the rashes.

15. Vitamin C
• Increase the intake of food rich in Vitamin C.
• Citrus fruits will work best in this regard.

16. Cod liver and Vitamin E
Aloe Vera gel, cod liver oil and Vitamin E oil are also helpful in curing body rash.

17. Cleansing scrub
• Make a cleansing scrub by soaking a handful of nuts in a small quantity of water.
• Blend these nuts along with half an avocado as avocados contain healthy oils that help to protect and moisturize your skin.
• Massage your skin gently with this creamy natural exfoliating paste.
• You can then allow it to remain on your skin for about 10 minutes before you rinse it off.
• You can add a few drops of fresh lemon juice to this paste to help cleanse your skin of the uppermost layer of dead skin cells.

What is Leucoderma?

• Vitiligo is a skin pigmentation disorder.
• This is known as leucoderma.
• The word leucoderma connotes white skin.
• There is a gradual loss of pigment melanin from the skin layers.
• This results to pale patches of skin or a bleached appearance.
• This looks more prominent for people with dark complexion.
• This skin condition is not contagious nor is it infectious. The exact cause of leucoderma is difficult to determine.
• It is not also due to germs or bad blood.

Symptoms of Leucoderma

• Small white spots
• White patches
• It starts out pale-colored and then it lightens.
• Loss of skin pigmentation.

Causes of Leucoderma

• Heredity
• Excessive mental stress
• Chronic or acute gastric disorders
• Impaired liver functions like jaundice
• The presence of parasites such as worms in the alimentary canal,
• Typhoid,
• Flawed sweat mechanism
• Injuries arising from burns

Home Remedies for Leucoderma

6. Home remedies for Leucoderma from turmeric and mustard oil
• A mixture of turmeric and mustard oil is another helpful concoction.
• This can be done by pounding approximately 500 grams of turmeric.
• Leave it steeped in water overnight.
• It should be boiled until it goes down to only one liter of water strained and blended in 500 ml mustard oil.
• The mixture is then heated until the turmeric dissolves.
• It will again be strained and stored for future use.
• The oil and turmeric mixture should be massaged on the affected areas.
• Apply it twice daily for several months.

7. Home remedies for Leucoderma from fresh fruit diet
• A person afflicted with leucoderma should get rid of the toxins in the body.
• This is done by cleansing the system.
• Cleansing can be done by doing one-week fast with juice.
• This can be undertaken to be followed by a diet of fresh fruits, raw or steamed vegetables and whole meal bread or chapattis.
• A lukewarm water enema is to be done daily to cleanse the bowels during the initial week of juice fasting.
• Dairy products such as milk and curd can be included in a few days.
• A well-balanced diet composed of seeds, nuts, grains, vegetables and fruits.
• This diet can be augmented by cold-pressed vegetable oils, honey and yeast may then be employed.
• The whole process of cleansing through fasting may be undertaken at an interval of two months.

Avoid drinks containing caffeine like:
• Tea
• Coffee
• Alcoholic beverages
• Condiments
• Highly-flavored dishes
• Sugar
• Products containing white flour
• Denatured cereals
• Canned and bottled foods

8. Banana mash
• Mash a fresh banana and use it on the neck.
• Use it on the skin too.
• Let it dry for some time.
• Then clean the area with heated water.
• This is a best dry epidermis cure.

9. Petroleum Jelly
• Apply petroleum jelly on the dry skin.
• This will help skin to remain smooth.
• Apply it especially before going to bed.

10. Rose petals
• Take a few rose petals and soak them in raw milk for a few hours.
• Make a paste and apply it.
• This would heal the dryness.
• It works effectively in retaining the lost pink color.

11. Milk Cream
• Apply milk cream on the skin.
• This will help remove the dry dead skin.

General Home Remedies

• Physical fitness will improve the circulation and encourages circulation thereby providing nourishment to the epidermis.
• Alcohol and caffeine should be avoided.
• After washing applying Aloe Vera gel is also efficient.
• Fruits and vegetables that are rich in vitamin A and B should be included in the diet.
• It’s better to use drinking water instead of tap water for cleaning the skin.
• Before washing, add 5-6 declines of oat extract or lavender oil to the bathtub.
• Milk shower once a month is also efficient.
• Make an assortment of cooked oatmeal and baby for moisturizing.
• Eating oily fish like salmon that contain omega-3 fat will help hydrate and nourishing epidermis.
