Taking care of hair is a tough task. Its very difficult to control the frizzy hair in the cold weather as it losses its texture, shiny hair. Healthy shiny hair enhances the beauty of a person. Here are some few tips to maintain the shiny hair.

11. Olive oil rinse
- Olive oil is also an amazing home remedy for hair.
- It can soften the hair and rejuvenate its shine.
- Pour some olive oil into a cup and place it in the microwave for a few minutes until warm.
- Make sure the oil is not scalding or overly hot.
- This can damage the hair follicles.
- Apply the warm Olive oil to the scalp and massage it in.
- Sit with the oil on the hair and scalp for approximately an hour.
- Rinse off the oil.
- Allow the hair to dry naturally

12. Honey rinse
- Mix honey and water together.
- The nutrients within the honey can be extremely beneficial for the hair.
- Make sure to dilute the honey enough so that it is a liquid form and not in clumps.
- Apply to the hair and scalp for 20 to 30 minutes.
- Rinse it off.
- Apply vinegar as the last rinse of the hair for that extra bounce and shine.

13. General Home Remedies
- Rinse your hair with cold water to amplify the shine of your locks.
- Rinsing with cold water will close and smoothen the cuticle making it look shiny.
- Deep condition your hair once a week.
- Avoid using styling products.
- They can damage the hair.
- Use Strawberry hair mask: mash once in 15 days for glimmer and soft hair.
- Use few tablespoons of lemon juice to rinse water.
- Use few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to rinse water.
- Rub gram flour to your hair and leave it for 15 minutes.
- Wash it with water drained from the cooked rice.
- Massaging hair with Luke warm coconut oil an hour before washing as this works miracle for hair.
- Drink lots of water and fruit juices.
- Eat adequate quantities of fruits.
- Choose from different types of berries, citrus fruits, melons and sweet grapes.
- Most food items that have vitamin benefits can be helpful for your hair.
- Avoid drying your hair with a hairdryer.
- Take all the moisture out of the hair with a regular towel and then place another towel around your neck to protect you from getting any chills.
- Boil used tea leaves in enough water, let it cool and then use this liquid as the last rinse.
- Lemon juice mixed with water can also be used as a last rinse to give your hair a shiny and bouncy look.
- The use of henna as a natural conditioner proves to be very beneficial for your hair.
- It helps to bring back the bounce and flair of your hair which has been lacking for quite a while.
- You can add small amount of baking soda in the shampoo which, removes dirt and grease from your hair and gives the shiny look.
- Use one fourth cup of apple cider vinegar in one gallon of condensed water and use it for rinsing.

What is a sore throat?
- A sore throat is discomfort, pain or scratchiness in the throat.
- A sore throat often makes it painful to swallow.
- It is a common disorder of the throat.
- It can occur at any time during any season.

16. Sore Throat Remedy using Kantakari
- The herb kantakari is a valuable in sore throat remedy.
- An extract of the plant should be used as a gargle for this purpose.
- This extract is prepared by continuously boiling the plant in about two liters of water after washing it thoroughly.

17. Sore Throat Treatment using Liquorice
- Liquorice is a recognized home remedy for sore throat in all parts of India.
- A small piece of raw liquorice should be chewed or sucked for treating this condition.
- The healing property of the herb soothes inflammation quickly

18. Sore Throat remedy using Tea Decoction
- A decoction made from tea leaves is very beneficial in the treatment of a sore throat.
- This decoction, mixed with a pinch of salt, should be used as a gargle.
- It can be used two or three times daily for obtaining relief.
- It is not necessary to use fresh leaves for this purpose.
- Boiling water can be poured over used tea leaves in the tea jug and this decoction used as a gargle.

19. Sore Throat remedy using Marshmallow root tea
- Prepare marshmallow root tea by adding 1 tablespoon of the dried root to a cup.
- Add a cup (8 ounces) of boiling water, keep it covered for at least 10 minutes then strain.
- Drink up to 3 cups a day.

20. Sore Throat remedy using Honeysuckle tea
- Prepare honeysuckle tea.
- Bring 1 quart of water to a boil.
- Add 1 cup of honeysuckle flowers (not the leaves).
- Steep for at least 10 minutes, covered, and then strain.
- Sweeten with honey if desired.
- Drink up to 4 cups a day.

21. Sore Throat remedy using Basil leaves
- Water boiled with basil leaves should be taken as a drink.
- It can also be used as a gargle to relieve a sore throat.
- It is also effective in sore throat treatment.

22. Sore Throat treatment using Tamarind
- Tamarind is also beneficial in the treatment of sore throat.
- Tamarind water should be used as a gargle.
- A powder of the dry leaves and an infusion of the bark can also be used for preparation of a gargle.

23. Sore Throat Treatment using Raspberry
- A raspberry tea gargle is a very effective remedy for getting rid of sore throat phlegm.
- This gargle can be prepared by pouring a cup of boiling water over 2 teaspoons of dried raspberry leaves and allowed to stand for 10-15 minutes.
- This mixture can then be cooled, strained and used as a gargling solution.
- It is important to avoid drinking this gargling liquid and it must be spit out once finished gargling.

24. Sore Throat Treatment using Turmeric
- For allergies and sore throat a gargling solution can be prepared by combining a cup of water, half a teaspoon of salt and half a teaspoon of turmeric powder.
- Gargling with this mixture two times a day can help provide effective relief from sore throat.
- Instead of a gargle you can even combine a cup of hot milk and half a teaspoon of turmeric powder.
- Drink this mixture twice a day.

Sore Throat Diet : All-Fruit Diet
- Take orange juice and water for three to five days.
- Adopt an all-fruit diet for three or four further days.
- Fruits are extremely rich in nutrients and essential vitamins like vitamin C and A and also in antioxidants.
- This can promote healing and also boost your immune system.

Sore Throat Diet : Well-Balanced Diet
- Thereafter adopt a well-balanced diet.
- Emphasize on seeds, nuts, grains, raw vegetables, and fresh fruit.
- Avoid foods and drinks that could aggravate the condition and hamper the healing process.
- All junk foods and oily or fried foods should be avoided.

8. Sore Throat Treatment using Mango Bark
- Mango bark is efficacious in the treatment of a sore throat.
- It treats other throat disorders.
- Its fluid, which is extracted by grinding, can be applied locally.
- It can also be used as a throat gargle.
- This gargle is prepared by mixing 10 ml of the fluid extract with 125 ml of water.

9. Sore Throat Remedy using Belleric Myroblan
- The herb “belleric myroblan” is a valuable sore throat remedy.
- A mixture of two grams of the pulp of the fruit, a quarter teaspoon of salt, half a teaspoon of powdered long pepper and two teaspoons of honey should be administered in the treatment of this condition.
- The fried fruit can also be roasted after covering it with wheat flour, and used as a cure.

- One teaspoon of coarsely powdered cinnamon, boiled in a glass of water with a pinch of pepper powder, and two teaspoons of honey can be taken as a medicine.

12. Sore Throat Remedy using Fenugreek Seeds
- A gargle prepared from fenugreek seeds has been found to be a very effective remedy.
- To prepare this gargle, two tablespoons of fenugreek seeds should be put in a litre of cold water and allowed to simmer for half an hour over a low flame.
- This should then be allowed to cool to a bearable temperature, strained, and then used entirely as a gargle.
- Fenugreek seeds have been a valuable ingredient in ancient medicine since the time of the ancient Egyptians and Indians.
- Fenugreek seeds have powerful antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties.
- Sore throat remedies prepare with fenugreek seeds are therefore extremely effective.
