What are Genital Warts?

• Genital warts are also known as condylomata acuminate or venereal warts.
• These warts are caused by Human Pappiloma Virus (HPV).
• They generally occur around the genital area.
• These warts are either flat or cauliflower-like shaped.
• Genital, anal, and oral sex are the mains causes of HPV transmission.
• Unprotected sex with an infected individual will invariably cause a transmission of the virus.

The parts affected are:
• Anus
• Cervix
• Penis
• Rectum
• Scrotum
• Vulva
• Vagina

Causes and Symptoms of Genital Warts

• Through Sexual Contact.
• Transmitted indirectly by sharing towel with the infected person.
• A new born baby may get infected during delivery.

Home Remedies for Genital Warts

1. Use Vitamin E Oil
• Apply oil (vitamin E) on the infected skin.
• Put some crushed raw garlic over it.
• Cover it with an adhesive tape.
• The wart will fall within a week.
• Do not keep the same poultice on for the entire week.
• Wash off the crushed garlic paste when you go for a shower.
• Reapply a fresh paste of garlic and use adhesive tape.
• Changing this dressing twice a day for the entire week will ensure hygiene.
• Vitamin E oil will also help to keep the surrounding skin healthy.
• It will prevent the spread of the infection of genital warts.

2. Apply Juice
• Make juice from onion slices covered overnight with salt.
• Apply it on the affected area till the warts disappear.
• Apply milky juice of figs’ stem.
• Apply it two to three times a day.
• Apply apple cider vinegar to the affected area using cotton ball.
• Onions have strong antimicrobial agents which help to control infection.
• Salt is humectants.
• It helps to draw out the moisture and fluids from the slices of onion.
• Salt is also a mild antiseptic.
• The liquid obtained from applying salt to onion slices will have antiseptic properties.
• It will help to control the spread of the genital warts.
• Apple cider vinegar is acidic in nature.
• This will help to slough of dead skin cells from the surface of the warts.
• Soak a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar and then place it over the wart.
• Apply a small piece of adhesive tape to keep the cotton ball in place.
• This will help to speed up the sloughing off process of the skin.
• Genital warts will start to shrink in size until they disappear.

Genital Warts Diet

• Eat a diet rich in folic acid and beta-carotene.
• Dark green and leafy vegetables like spinach, cabbage, etc.
- Eat fruits and vegetables like
• Radish
• Mango
• Squash
• Tomato which are orange, yellow and red in color

Suggestions for Genital Warts

• Avoid cigarettes.
• Avoid oral contraceptives.
• Using condoms prevents the transmission to some extent.
• Take Pap test regularly.

Home Remedies of Corns

9. Corn Treatment using Baking soda
• Add 1 tablespoon of baking soda to a half a basin of warm water.
• Soak your feet in this solution for about half an hour.
• Then use a pumice stone to rub away the dead skin.

10. Corn treatment using Aloe Vera
• Wash your feet with soap and water.
• Then apply aloe Vera to the affected areas and massage it in for about 20-30 minutes.
• Do this at least twice or thrice a day for best results.
• Aloe Vera is known to treat various kinds of skin disorders.
• It helps in getting rid of corns as well.

11. Corn treatment using baking soda and Espom salts
• Make a foot soak solution by mixing a mixture of 1 cup of baking soda and 1 cup of Epsom salts.
• Put 3 tablespoons of this foot soak per gallon of water till it dissolves.
• Ensure that the water is as hot as one can take it.
• Soak your feet for about 30 minutes.
• Then scrub the corn with a pumice stone.

12. Corn treatment using apple cider vinegar
• Soak a small cotton or wool ball in apple cider vinegar and place it on the corn.
• Repeat this daily till the corn dries up.

13. Treating Corns using pedicure
• Do a pedicure twice a week to remove dead skin.
• Soak your feet in hot and soapy water for about 10 minutes.
• Then use to pumice stone to remove the dead skin.
• Dry your feet thoroughly.
• Then moisturize well.
• This helps to keep your skin soft.

14. Corn treatment using Chamomile tea
• Soak the feet in diluted chamomile tea.
• This can be soothing.
• This will temporarily change the pH of the skin to help dry out sweaty feet.
• The tea will stain your feet.
• The stain can be easily removed with soap and water.

Corn treatment with diet Containing Vitamins and Minerals Should be Taken

A light nutritious diet that contains vitamins and minerals in the form of fruits and vegetables is recommended.
- Other dietary measures
• Consume raw vegetables and juices for three days.
• This helps to aid in balancing the acidity/alkalinity of your system.
• Umeboshi (Japanese salt plum) can quickly balance the body’s pH.
• These are available in health food stores and Asian markets.
• Take one every three hours for two days.
• Avoid fried foods, meats, caffeine, sugar, and highly processed foods.

Other Treatments of Corns
• Stop Wearing Shoes that Caused Corns.
• Apply Corn Caps.
• Wash Feet Daily Followed by Application of Talcum Powder.
• Apply ice or heat pad to soothe corn.
