What is meant by Measles?

Home Remedies for Measles

1. Consume orange juice

2. Lemon Juice

- Take 15ml – 25 ml of diluted lemon juice with water.

3. Turmeric

4. Liquorices with honey

- A decoction should be made from about twelve grams of these leaves, boiled in half a litre of water.
- It should be administered twice daily.
- Administer it with half a cup of milk, one teaspoon of sugar and a quarter teaspoon of powdered cardamom (cardamom).
- This will bring down the temperature in the measles patient.

Other Treatments

- The patient should likely stay in an area where there is minimal light.
- The main goal in treating measles is to lower down the temperature and get rid of the toxins.
- It is achieved through using warm-water enema and mudpacks.
- These systems must be applied occasionally to the patient.
- Luke warm baths are measles treatment.
- They relieve itching especially when neem leaves are included.
- Total rest could lead to total recovery.

Home Remedies for Cough

1. Cough treatment using Grapes
• Grapes are one of the most effective home remedies for the treatment of a cough.
• Grapes tone up the lungs and act as an expectorant.
• It relieves a simple cold and cough in a couple of days.
• A cup of grape juice mixed with a teaspoon of honey is advised for cough relief.

2. Cough treatment using Almonds
• Almonds are useful for dry coughs.
• Seven kernels should be soaked in water overnight and the brown skin removed.
• They should then be ground well to form a fine paste.
• A quantity of twenty grams each of butter and sugar should then be added to the paste.
• This paste should be taken in the morning and evening.

3. Cough treatment using Ginger
• Prepare a mixture of half a teaspoon of the powder of ginger, pepper, and cloves.

• It can also be taken as an infusion with tea.

• Hot ginger tea is a popular home remedy for cold symptoms and sore throat. Honey and lemon are sometimes added.

4. Cough treatment using Garlic
• Garlic is one of the more popular home cures for colds.
• Have chicken soup with lots of garlic or a drink made with raw crushed garlic to help with common cold.
• The patient should be given garlic cloves that are boiled in thirty grams of milk daily.
• The cold-fighting compound in garlic is thought to be allicin.
• It has antibacterial and antifungal properties.
• Allicin is what gives garlic its distinctive hot flavor.
• To maximize the amount of allicin, fresh garlic should be chopped or crushed and it should be raw.
• It is also available in pill form.
• Half a teaspoon of turmeric powder should be administered with half a glass of milk.
• It should be taken about two or three times daily.
• It acts best when taken on an empty stomach.

5. Cough treatment using Honey
• Honey is considered highly beneficial in the treatment of asthma.
• One can also mix 1 teaspoon honey in a glass of water and have it 3 times a day.
