What is a Bruise?
• A Bruise is a very common skin injury that occurs when tiny blood vessels are harmed due to a bump on your soft skin tissue.
• Medically this is known as contusion.
• In this process the blood vessels are damaged leaving behind a blue or black mark.
• Sometimes it is due to weakening of the skin tissue.
• The capillary walls become fragile which causes bruising.
• The aging thin skin also leads to bruising.

Home Remedies for Bruising
10. Turmeric
• Turmeric is known for its healing properties.
• Mix some in warm milk and drink it every day on an empty stomach.
• This home remedy can bring good relief.
11. Lemon
• Lemon is another healing ingredient.
• Slice one and place the piece over the bruise.
• You can also drink lemon juice because it is rich in vitamin C.
• It can treat internal hemorrhage.
12. Margarine
• Apply margarine over the bruise to reduce the swelling.
13. Comfrey leaves
• Plaster made from fresh Comfrey leaves is the best home remedy for sprains, bruises and cuts.
14. Uncooked egg
Uncooked egg that is applied on a spot with a bruise is proven to provide immediate relief from bruises.
15. Salvia leaves
Place some Salvia leaves on the bruise and wrap it with a bandage.
16. Herbal tea
Herbal tea made with white oak bark, comfrey and hops can heal a bruise.
17. Mullein flowers in olive oil
• Cook up a decoction of mullein flowers in olive oil.
• Apply this extract on the bruised area.
18. Black coffee
Grind some black coffee and apply this on the bruise and cover it with bandage.
19. Lavender oil
Apply lavender oil on the affected area for relief.
20. Alfalfa
• Alfa Alfa is rich in Vitamin K and has blood clotting properties.
• It can be applied on the bruise.
21. Vaseline mix
• Mix pepper and cayenne in a lot of melted Vaseline.
• Apply on the bruise for quick healing.
22. Salad
You could prepare a salad with lettuce, broccoli and spinach as these are rich in vitamin K and has great blood clotting properties.
23. Apple cider vinegar
• Soak cotton gauze in an apple cider vinegar or white vinegar and apply it on the affected area.
• Keep it that way for an hour.
24. Vitamins that heal
• Coenzyme Q-10- CO Q-10 is good for helping in the construction of the body cell.
• Coenzyme also heals the damaged cells.
• Take a supplement with magnesium, calcium and vitamin D as these help in the formation of blood cells.
• Take Vitamin K in tablets helps blood clotting.
• Take Vitamin C to prevent bruising by thickening the walls of blood vessels.
25. Garlic
• Eat fresh garlic as much as you can.
• The more you can consume the faster the bruises will heal.
• Even major bruises generally heal in about 2 days.
26. Salt and hot water
• Mix some hot water (not too hot) with a lot of salt in a small bowl.
• Mix it until the salt has dissolved.
• Dip a cotton ball in the salt water and dab it on the bruise and let it dry.

Home Remedies for Bruising
1. Vitamin P
• Have food which is high on bioflavonoid, also known as Vitamin P.
• Bioflavonoid functions as the protector of the capillaries by keeping it healthy.
• These are also anti-inflammatory and reduce inflammation.
• Bioflavonoid is present in lemons, green peppers, broccoli and rose hips.
• Have bioflavonoid with vitamin C as it is easily absorbed in your body.
2. St. Johns Wort
• This is known to have done wonders for bruises.
• Its anti-bacterial and astringent properties make it apt for treating them.
• Add few drops of St. John Wort tincture to an organic oil or cream and apply it on the affected area.
• The skin would absorb the tincture which would help in the healing process.
3. Arnica, yarrow and Chamomile infusion
• Use herbal infusion made of Arnica, Yarrow, and Chamomile.
• This infusion contains minimal proportion of antiseptic, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory properties.
• This infusion will speed the healing of the bruise.
4. Cabbage
• Cabbage contains anti-inflammatory properties.
• This when applied in emaciated form on bruises or swelling can help the healing of bruises.
5. Arnica
