- Bed sores (or pressure sores) are also known as decubitus ulcers, are the result of skin being suffocated beneath the weight of the body.
- These lesions are caused by continuous extended pressure on the skin.
- They occur usually in an area over a prominent bone or cartilage structure such as the hips or tailbone.
- This pressure restricts the flow of blood and therefore the supply of oxygen and nutrients, to that part of the skin.
- The smaller blood vessels clot and a sore red patch of skin appears.

Home Remedies for Bed Sores

- Give the person a very gentle massage twice daily to improve circulation in the skin.
- Make sure they are totally dry after the bath.
- A light dusting of powder made from talc can be helpful in keeping the skin dry.
- Make sure their sheets and bedding are clean and dry as well.
- Moisturize the body with vitamin E oil or cream every day.
- Make sure the person is getting a healthy diet of fiber and vitamin rich foods.
- Avoid including meat in the diet as much as possible.
- Seek other sources of protein including soy or whey protein.
- Apply aloe vera to the sores directly to soothe them.
- You can disinfect the sores by sprinkling them with goldenseal powder.
- Washing the sores daily with witch hazel will help keep them clean and dry.
- They should be washed two to four times every day without fail.
- Avoid dragging the person out of their bed.

1. Vitamin C
- It is an anti-inflammatory.
- It is vital for the health of the skin and blood vessels.
- Take 500 milligrams of vitamin C.
- Take an equal amount of bioflavonoids three times daily.

2. Zinc
- Zinc supports the immune system.
- It also promotes wound healing.
- Take 15 milligrams three times daily.
- Take zinc with food to prevent stomach upset.
- If you take over 30 milligrams of zinc on a daily basis for more than one or two months, you should also take 1 to 2 milligrams of copper each day.
- This is to maintain a proper mineral balance.

3. Aloe vera
- Aloe vera can be applied topically in ointment, gel, or cream form, is known to be effective in healing sores.

4. Calendula cream
- Topical calendula cream is very soothing and healing to wounds.

5. Goldenseal and Vitamin E
- Goldenseal is a natural antiseptic.
- Vitamin E is healing and soothing to the skin.
- Make a paste by combining the contents of three 500-milligram capsules of goldenseal (or 1 teaspoon of goldenseal powder) and 800 international units of vitamin E (pierce capsules and squeeze out the oil).
- If the resulting mixture is too dry, add a few drops of olive oil.
- Apply this to the affected area three times daily.

6. Comfrey Leaves
- Take some dry leaves of comfrey and crush them to prepare a fine powder.
- Add slippery elm in equal quantity to this to make paste.
- Either put this paste over cloth and tie the cloth over area.
- One can apply the paste directly to the area and tie a clean bandage to the sores.
- It is one of the most effective home remedy for bed sores.

Amnesia is a condition that implies total or partial loss of memory.
There are different reasons and causes of amnesia such as organic or functional.
- Organic amnesia is caused due to damage to your brain by external factors which can be due to physical reasons like trauma or disease.
- Functional amnesia is due to psychological factors.

There are different types of Amnesia
- Anterograde amnesia
- Emotional/hysterical amnesia
- Lacunar amnesia
- Korsakoff syndrome
- Posthypnotic amnesia
- Retrograde amnesia
- Transient global amnesia

Causes of Amnesia
- Head injury
- Severe illness
- High fever
- Seizures
- Emotional shock or hysteria
- Alcohol-related brain damage
- Drugs
- Stroke
- Alzheimer’s disease
- Brain surgery

Home remedies for Amnesia

1.) Rosemary
- Rosemary is the best home remedy for amnesia.
- This herb is also known as the herb of remembrance,
- It can effectively cure mental fatigue and forgetfulness.

2.) Rosemary tea
- Prepare rosemary tea by adding 1-2 teaspoons of the herb to a cup (225ml) of boiling water.
- Let it steep for 5 minutes, strain the decoction and add a squirt of lime juice.
- Drink the tea once or twice, on a daily basis.

3.) Perennail booti
- This herb is also helpful in curing forgetfulness.
- Dry about seven grams of this herb in a shady place.
- Grind it, along with seven kernels of almonds and half a gram of pepper.
- Add water to form a decoction.
- Strain the decoction and add twenty-five gm sugar.
- Drink this mixture, on an empty stomach, every morning, for about a fortnight.

4.) Walnuts
- Walnuts work as effective memory enhancers.
- Consuming 20 gm walnuts every day, in the morning, will prove to be highly beneficial.
- If you add 10 gm of raisins or figs to walnuts, it is more beneficial.

5.) Almonds
- These are traditionally, considered to be the most effective memory booster.
- Soak about 10 almonds overnight.
- Peel off the brown skin in the morning and make a paste of it.
- Intake this paste, along with a tsp of butter, every morning.
- This works as a powerful memory enhancer and reduces needless anger.

6.) Holy basil leaves
- These leaves prove to be an effective memory enhancer.
- Boil the leaves in water and strain the decoction.
- Drink the decoction, after it cools down.
- You can also eat the leaves directly, after washing them with water.

7.) Brahmi
- Prepare a decoction of the herb, by steeping it in boiling water and straining the water.
- Let it cool down and consume it in the morning, on an empty stomach.

8.) Biofeedback
- This has proved to be a useful technique.
- In this process, the patient is made aware of his quantifiable bodily functions such as blood pressure, heart rate, blood sugar and skin temperature.
- This raises the patient’s awareness as well as his conscious control of the involuntary physiological activities.

9.) Other remedies
- Patients suffering from amnesia should try to memorize this and recall everything, first thing in the morning.
- The right diet also acts as a memory booster.
- Include a lot of phosphorous-rich fruits in your diet, such as dates, oranges, figs, grapes, apple, almonds and walnuts.
- They help activate the brain cell and reduce forgetfulness.
- The most simple of all home remedies for amnesia is to have a tsp of honey, sprinkled with finely grounded black pepper, once a day. This will also help enhance memory.

- Both shark cartilage and lotion of blueberry leaves reduce inflammation.
- Use pine tar soap to wash the affected skin.
- Drink tomato juice daily, it will cure the symptoms in a few days.

25. Homemade Lotion
- Make a lotion out of crushed dandelion leaves, spearmint leaves, and a few drops of oil.
- Apply this lotion to your skin and allow it to remain on for at least 30 minutes before rinsing it off with cold water.
- This can act as an effective eczema cure.

26. Cleansing Scrub
- Make a cleansing scrub by soaking a handful of nuts in a small quantity of water.
- Blend these nuts along with half an avocado as avocados contain healthy oils that help to protect and moisturize your skin.
- Massage your skin gently with this creamy natural exfoliating paste.
- You can then allow it to remain on your skin for about 10 minutes before you rinse it off.
- You can add a few drops of fresh lemon juice to this paste to help cleanse your skin of the uppermost layer of dead skin cells.

27. Papaya paste
- Another useful and easily available ingredient for eczema treatment would be papaya.
- Mashed papaya seeds can be applied to the areas of skin that are affected to reduce the itchiness.
