Ayurveda comprises of two words i.e. Ayu means science and Veda means knowledge. Ayurveda does not believe in removing just the symptoms and creating some side-effects but it believes on curing the root cause of the disease so that it does not occur again and can give a permanent relief.

Ayurveda uses diet, medicine, routine, exercise, yoga, the taking of minerals, and many other cures. The human body consists of four basics:
- Dosha
The catabolic and anabolic metabolism are regulated by three principles of dosha known as vatta, pitta and kapha. The by product of digested foods is carried throughout the body by these three doshas.
- Dhatu
Dhatu provides basic nutrition to the body and helps in the growth and structure of brain.
- Mala
Stool, urine and sweat are the three main types of malas. Malas are the waste products of the body. It is essential to excrete waste products from the body to maintain good health.
- Agni
Agni is defined as various enzymes and all kinds of metabolic and digestive activities take place with the help of agni.

According to Ayurveda, a disease is caused when there is an imbalance of the three doshas – Vata, Pitta and Kapha. The duration to cure a disease through ayurveda depends upon how much chronic is the disease. The benefits of ayurveda includes:
- Ayurveda ensures physical and mental health.
- Ayurveda treatment is non-toxic and non invasive.
- Ayurveda treatments can be stress related, metabolic and chronic conditions.
- Ayurveda is mainly based on herbs, plants, flowers, fruits, vegetables and all vegetation.
- Ayurveda approach believes in deep rooted treatment.

Inner relationship focusing goes beyond “getting in touch with your feelings” and is said to enable those who who use it to forge a totally different kind of relationship with their emotions. Through this process, you become your best listener. The goal is not to solve your problems or challenge your emotions but to allow forward moving change to happen on its own through inner listening and sensing. Inner relationship focusing typically starts with an individual session. Ultimately, with these sessions, you learn to do inner relationship focusing by yourself.

- Fist session introduces you to inner relationship focusing process, what it feels like and how to apply it.
- It begins with discovering “felt sense” which means a body sensation in response to an emotion or situation.
- Next, attention is paid on these felt senses, observe it , get curious about it and refrain from making judgements.
- Through this acknowledgement and acceptance, you allow your felt sense to become whatever it needs to be.
- This process can lead to pathways of growth as you gain access to information about yourself that has otherwise been beyond your awareness.
Inner relationship focusing therapy is most often used for personal growth and understanding, pain management, stress relief, depression, weight loss, smoking cessation, addictions and enhancing creativity.

The option to pick and choose among alternative, complimentary and conventional treatments provide great opportunities to maintain health and well-being. Consider the options carefully. When choosing any practice, follow these steps:
- Gather all the information that is necessary about the therapy that you intend to use. Educate yourself about the therapy. Talk to people who have used it. Ask your doctor. Gather information about the therapy from Internet.
- Consider the cost and find out exactly how much the therapy will cost you. Many therapies are not covered under health insurance.
- Be an open minded skeptic and stay open to various treatments but evaluate them carefully.
- Check credentials when considering a practitioner of that particular therapy. Make sure the person is from a reputed organization and has adequate training and experience.

Understanding the source of your headache is the key to ease the pain. Headaches can be triggered by any number of factors, including lack of sleep or food, anxiety, or even medications. But if your headache does not go away, try the remedies specific to the type you are expecting.

Tension Headache</h2
Where it hurts most:
- It occurs on both sides of the head.
- These headaches are very common are usually triggered by extreme stress or neck strain.
Ease the ache:
- Over-the-counter drugs are usually all that’s needed.
- You may also find relief with a massage to loosen tight neck muscles.
Stop it:
- Sit up straight at work.
- Sitting hunched over your desk all day can set it off, especially if you are under stress.
- Keeping tension headaches at bay may be as simple as a quick walk outside away from the tumult of the office.

Migraine

Where it hurts most:
- Usually on one side of the head.
- Migraine’s symptoms are intense, throbbing pain, accompanied by nausea and/or sensitivity to light or sound.
- It is not fun and is more common in women.
Ease the ache:
- Prescription medicines are most helpful.
- Rest in a quiet, dark room.
Stop it:
- Identify and eliminate your triggers (the most common are red wine, caffeine and cheese).
- Regular exercise has also been shown to reduce frequency and severity.

Cluster

Where it hurts most:
- It occurs behind one eye.
- This type of pain is signified by a sharp pain that strikes suddenly, and goes away just as quickly.
- They come in groups or clusters and can reoccur for days or months.
- Cluster headaches are rare, affecting less than 1% of adults, but men in their 20s are more likely to get them.
Ease the ache:
- Oxygen therapy has been shown to help alleviate the pain.
- Get yourself checked for sleep apnea – up to 80% of cluster headache sufferers aso have the condition, and treating one may help eliminate the other.
Stop them:
- These headaches are hard to predict but there are several drugs including methysergide maleate, that your doctor may recommend as a preventive measure.

In an exercise, there is repeated motion and not held for longer than about six seconds. A stretch might consist of the same motion, but it is done only once, and with the position held motionless for 30 to 60 seconds.
While stretch, you extend the muscle and joint to the extreme position that can be comfortably reached. It’s a general thought that stretching is a good warm up before engaging in exercise, but in reality, stretch is best done after the body has been warmed up by an exercise. After an exercise session loosens and flushes out a tight muscle, stretching acts like the final hearty squeeze that you give a sponge after you’ve wet it and wrung it out repeatedly.
The stretches are grouped by trouble spot. The stretches should never hurt. When the final stretch position is approached, some tightness or tension is felt. As you continue to hold the stretch, the tightness will diminish. This is a sign that the muscle fiber is relaxing and stretching.
Breathing deeply and regularly during a stretch will help to relax you and increase the effectiveness of the stretch. With each breath, feel the healing steam and oxygen rush in , and all stress and tension fly out.

A sauna is an enclosed room which can be heated with the use of an electric heater, infrared heater, or wood stove. The elevated temperature in the room can be made more intense with the use of steam, or left dry, depending on the taste of the sauna bathers.

- During a 10-20 minute sauna session, your heart rate increases by 50-75%. This provides the same metabolic result as physical exercise. There is a nominal effect on blood pressure.
- Blood vessels become more flexible and there is increased circulation to the extremities.
- One of the main health benefits to owning a sauna is that using it rids your body of unwanted materials and helps to improve overall circulation.
- Another health benefit to owning a sauna is that it can help prevent heart disease.
- Steambaths and saunas induce sweating to provide a comprehensive cleansing of the skin and sweat glands.
- When taking a sauna, skin temperature rises to 40°C (104°F) and internal body temperature rises to about 38°C (100.4°F). Exposure to the high heat creates an artificial fever state. Fever stimulates the immune system resulting in increased production of disease fighting white blood cells, antibodies and interferon.
- Relief from the pain and stiffness of arthritis.
- Steam is an excellent treatment for respiratory problems, such as; chest congestion, bronchitis, laryngitis and sinusitis.
- Revives tired and strained muscles after physical exertion.
- The cleansing effect of profuse perspiration helps provide healthy skin and a clear complexion.
- Burns calories. About 600 calories burned in 30 minutes while sitting in a sauna.

Precautions before using sauna

- Avoid alcohol and medications that may impair sweating and produce overheating before and after your sauna.
- Stay in no more than 15–20 minutes.
- Cool down gradually afterward.
- Drink two to four glasses of cool water after each sauna.
- Don’t take a sauna when you are ill, and if you feel unwell during your sauna, head for the door.
Caution
Pregnant women, heart patient with low or high blood pressure condition or suffering from any disease which has negative effect of sauna bath should first consult a physician regarding their physical condition and the length of period they can take sauna bath.

NOTE : Using a sauna for weight loss is not a sole method. Used in conjunction with eating correctly and getting regular exercise a sauna can help a person to lose weight. It is also a great way to relax after a stressful way, which will also help keep the body healthy. A healthy body losses weight much better than one that is not healthy.

When we say that chilli peppers can help in relieving pain, it does not mean that if you are suffering from pain, you consume some chillis (that may lead to additional pain of a different kind). It means that chillis contain a compound that can help in the treatment of peripheral pain in a significant percentage of cases (although there are other scientists who disagree with the study, and you can read those comments at the bottom of the page) (link to article):

A new study by British researchers suggests that people suffering peripheral pain – which produces stinging sensations, numbness, weakness, burning pain – can get respite by taking capsaicin cream, an active constituent of chilli peppers. Peripheral pains often accompany disorders like diabetes, AIDS, shingles and arthritis; cancer patients can have peripheral neuropathies after receiving their therapies.
The team said that capsaicin cream could be used when the treatment has not been affective. The report has been published in the latest issue of The Cochrane Library.
