What are different symptoms of bone cancer?
Bone Cancer is the cancer that begins in the bone is called primary bone cancer.
- Primary bone cancer is relatively uncommon with secondary or metastatic cancer.
- This is cancer that occurs initially in another organ and then spreads to bone tissue.
What causes bone cancer?
- Bone cancer is caused by a problem with the cells that make bone.
- Bone tumors occur most commonly in children and adolescents.
- It is less common in older adults.
The most common primary bone tumors include:
- osteosarcoma,
- ewing’s sarcoma,
- chondrosarcoma,
- malignant fibrous histiocytoma,
- fibrosarcoma,
- chordoma.
Bone Cancer Symptoms
- The symptoms of bone cancer vary from one person to another
- It depends on the location and size of the bone cancer.
- Pain is one of the most common bone cancer symptoms.
- Initially, the pain may only be felt with activity or at night.
- People may experience the symptoms for weeks, perhaps even months
- A lump or mass may occur either in the tissues that surround the bone or on the bone itself
- The bones can become weakened by the tumor
- They may lead to a fracture after little or no trauma
- The fracture may occur just from standing on the affected bone.
- This can occur with both benign and malignant tumors.
- The tumor may spread locally and weaken the surrounding bone.
- f the tumor compresses the surrounding nerve it can cause pain, numbness, or tingling in the extremities.
- Bone cancer refers to abnormal growth in bone tissues.
- Bone cancer mostly develops in long bones and weakens the structure of the bones.
- Some other symptoms include weight loss, night sweats, chills, fever, nausea, increased fatigue, anemia.
Vital Symptoms
Tumor
- The growing tumor can be detected by touch.
- The cyst or tumor will be of a small pea size.
- It could be felt in the pain-affected area.
- This tumor is accompanied by pain.
- In some cases it is just a painless mass.
Pain
- Pain in affected bones is frequently present.
- Only slight pain is present which is experienced while running and walking in the first stage.
- In the later stages it becomes more persistent and nagging.
- At times the pain can lead to insomnia.
Swelling
- Swelling may not occur along with pain.
- In some cases of bone cancer, takes several weeks for the swelling to take place.
- Bone cancer exhausts the organ.
- It is difficult to function properly.
- The bones of children become extremely fragile and feel tender.
Other Symptoms of Bone Cancer
- In its later stages, the tumor starts producing calcium salt.
- This gets into the bloodstream.
- Increased calcium level in blood can cause vomiting, nausea and abdominal pain.
- Bone becomes delicate and prone to fracture.

Some quick and easy exercise routines….
A toned belly keeps the back healthy. Try pilates or yoga moves that work you ab and back muscles. Kickboxing, running or swimming are all great ab workouts. Always remember not to hold your breath while doing crunches as it can prove to be harmful and increase the blood pressure and heart rate especially during the moves that work on the side muscles.
To improve the coordination, balance and stability, do the following exercises without shoes:
- Spread toes apart like a fan.
- Flex your toes up towards you and then pointing them away.
- Move your foot in circles both clock-wise and anti clock-wise.
- Do toe curls as much as possible and then releasing them.
- With our foot flat on floor, lift the big toe without lifting the other toes and then try to lift little toes but not the big toe. Follow up by keeping your toes and heel on the floor and lifting up the arch of the foot.
- Use the toes on one foot to squeeze a towel on the floor.
- Keep heel in place and drag the towel from side to side.
- Use feet to pick up items and after having a grasp on the item, toss it away from you using your toes and leg.
- Stand with the outside edge of your foot against a wall and push your foot out into the wall. Switch the position so that the inside edge of the foot rests against the wall and push in against the wall.
- Roll a small rubber ball under the sole of your foot to massage it.
Staircases provide a good away to burn off calories in 15 minutes.
- For first 4 minutes, warm up by repeatedly walking up and down one flight of stairs maintaining a steady pace.
- For next two minutes, stand facing stairs. Step right foot to the right side of first stair. Do the same with left foot with left stair. Continue.
- For a minute, squat the jumps. Face the stairs, hop up with both feet and land in a squat. Hold for 2 counts and then jump up to next step.
- For next two minutes, stand with left side facing stairs, left foot on first step. Step right foot in front of left onto second step. Repeat. This is called left side cross steps.
- For next two minutes, stand with right side facing stairs, right foot on first step. Step left foot in front of right onto second step. Repeat. This is called right side cross steps.
- For next two minutes, do some step lunges. Step up two steps with right leg, bending knee 90 degrees into a lunge, bring hands down to touch step in front of you. Stand and repeat with left leg.
- For next two minutes, power walk up and down as fast as you can.
This is a 15 minute routine.

Similarly green tea also contains caffeine and regular intake can cause frequent urination, insomnia and nausea. If taken in large amounts, green tea can also prove dangerous to the liver and kidney. Large amounts of polyphenols present in this tea can also cause severe health problems. Pregnant women are advised not to include
green tea or any such tea in their diet as the EGCG present in the green tea can pose dangerous to the child’s growth. It can create complications at the time of delivery. So, in conclusion, it is advised that a limited intake of green tea is beneficial whereas large intake can be dangerous for the health.
